Thief in the Night's History[]
Eli, a trained mixed martial arts fighter, watched his younger brother Joe become gang involved and drug addicted. Eli continued to indulge himself in his new found career fame, and neglected to take interest in his suffering brother. Joe had always looked up to Eli, but felt he could never measure up to the Hype or attention Eli received. Feeling hopeless Joe took his own life, while Joe was at a championship match that earned him a professional MMS contract.
Eli heard the news and rushed home and read his brother's suicide note, he realized how much he neglected those close to him, while he was pumping up his ego. Distraught over his brother's death, Eli turned to church friend Jalen Bette (aka South Hawk) for counseling and support. Eli decided to dedicate his life to Christ, give up selfish pursuits and to use his abilities to help others, as Thief ln The Night.
Eli struggles with being arrogant and prideful. An extremely talented and famous fighter with good looks, Eli is used to being the center of attention. Eli works daily to be more humble in spirit and to lead the life God leads him in.

Thief ln The Night (TITN) wears a lightweight body armor that incorporates Raytheon's X Metal to power it. The Night suite enhances TITN' s strength. The Goggles on the mask provide enhanced vision capabilities, including infra red, night vision and an array of other functions. The suit contains an onboard computer, linked to The Tribulation Squad's base, which is controlled by panels on the suit's gauntlets. TITN is capable of short flight, and the pouched on his suit carry a variety of tools and support items.
